Whether you're facing challenges related to family matters, substance abuse, or mental health, the Social Welfare Office is here to offer support and counselling. If you're an older adult and need help with daily tasks, you can apply for home help services through the municipality. We also offer home health care, providing certain medical services directly in your home.

Support for individuals and families

The Social Welfare Office provides support to children, young people, and their families. We offer counselling and assistance for individuals facing challenges related to substance abuse or mental disabilities. The office also manages applications for financial assistance.

You can turn to the Social Welfare Office if you:

• want to apply for financial assistance or treatment,
• want to report concerns about a child who may be at risk and needs protection,
• require help with child custody, visitation rights, or residency matters.

Elderly care

Everyone deserves to live safely and comfortably in their own home for as long as possible. To support this, we offer services such as:

If living at home is no longer feasible, the municipality can arrange accommodation in an elderly housing facility.

Home help services

Our home help services are designed to support independent living in a safe and dignified way. These services complement your own abilities and do not replace your responsibilities.

Practical assistance may include:

• cleaning and laundry
• shopping and running errands

Care services may include:

• help with eating and drinking
• assistance with dressing and mobility
• personal hygiene and care
  

Home health care

If you're unable to visit your local health centre, you can receive certain medical services at home.

Services include:

• medication management
• wound care
• blood tests
• rehabilitation
• palliative care
  

Our home health care team – including nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists – are available 24/7, wherever you live in the municipality.

Meal delivery services

If cooking is difficult, we offer daily meal deliveries with warm, nutritious food served at lunchtime.

You can choose between two dishes on weekdays including desserts and request:

• specific portion sizes

• special diets
• pureed meals
  

Meals are freshly prepared and delivered by our home help staff. Our goal is to make mealtimes enjoyable and contribute to your overall health and well-being.
