The Skurup District Arts and Crafts Association was founded in 1994. The first Annual Art Days took place in 1995, and since then this event has been arranged every year in connection with the Ascension Day holiday. The association now rents the Gardener’s Lodge at Svaneholm Castle, and since 1999 all the joint exhibitions have been held there. The Gardener’s Lodge was built in 1861, and during the spring of 2001 the association renovated the exhibition rooms.
In addition to the Annual Art Days, the members of the association usually arrange a summer exhibition, a special exhibition during the Four Corners Cultural Week and a Christmas exhibition in connection with the Svaneholm Christmas fair.
