Business and Industry

For every community it is vital to have a growing and flourishing local business and industry, since this creates the necessary conditions for providing good municipal services. 

This is the reason why the Municipality of Skurup continuously works to strengthen its cooperation with the Skurup companies by arranging information meetings and company visits where politicians and local government officials take part, and by promoting an active cooperation between the local business community and the schools.

In a ranking of the business climate, made by the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise in the year 2010, Skurup attained place No. 44 among Sweden’s 290 municipalities.

The Municipality regularly hosts seminars and networking meetings where representatives from the economic development organisations are invited to participate.
