Tre barn med midsommarkransar

Welcome to Skurup - the Home of Nils Holgersson!

The Municipality of Skurup is situated on the south coast of Sweden between Malmö and Österlen where the beautiful Söderslätt and the Baltic Sea meet. The rich landscape is characterised by high ridges and vast, open fields, interspersed with farms and medieval castles that are typical for the province of Skåne.

It was here that Nils Holgersson started his wonderful journey through Sweden in the famous novel by Selma Lagerlöf, and to this place he longed to return.

Skurup has a central position in the Öresund region, offering excellent connections to the European Continent. Malmö Airport is situated only 15 kilometres from Skurup, and by train you can reach Copenhagen within less than an hour.

But of course, we would like you to stay and explore the Municipality of Skurup. Here, you’ll find wonderful beaches and inviting recreational areas. In addition to this, Skurup has many sights and attractions as well as a large variety of leisure activities to offer its visitors.

“When in Europe, don’t miss Skurup.”
